“5/6/26 I did a lot of research before getting tattooed in Las Vegas because I specifically wanted to support and experience a Black-owned tattoo shop and artist. Coming from the Northwest, I had never had that experience before, so finding Black Ink Tattoo was exactly what I was looking for. From the moment my sister, my mother, and I walked in, we felt welcomed. The shop was clean, professional, and had an amazing aesthetic. The staff was friendly, and you could immediately tell it was a space built with pride and professionalism by a group of talented young Black entrepreneurs. Originally, my sister and I came in to get matching tattoos using our mother’s signature of our family name. I only planned on getting one tattoo, but I loved the work so much that I ended up getting two during the first visit. The quality, detail, and overall experience were so good that my sister and I came back for round two. The second time, I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by the owner, Mogi, and let me just say — his line work is INSANE. Clean, crisp, precise, and beautiful. On top of that, he works FAST without sacrificing quality. I was on a tight schedule trying to make my flight, and he got me finished and out on time with no stress at all. Every artist there has their own unique style and specialty, and the talent throughout the shop is undeniable. But Mogi’s work especially blew me away. I already can’t wait to come back so he can continue my arm piece and do my scripture tattoo.
